Tres Amigos

I spotted this treo sunning themselves on an H-Post. A morning warm-up scene near Sonora Texas. The odds of them sunning in this pose, very much like military dress-down formation...for those of you who have served and know what I'm talking about.....is pretty darn rare. I was fortunate to close-down roughly a quarter mile stalk through the brush to capture this scene. They flew off immediately after this photo....they noticed me in the brush after my "CLICK."

  2. Thank you Sam and yes it certainly was one of those rare moments. This scene was shot in the western region of Texas, near Sonora. I was out rolling my friend's ranch when we spotted these guys. The evening before was damp and cool and these guys were out sunning and drying themselves before taking off and soaring the thermals looking for food. This image reminds me of a military formation where the command "DRESS DOWN!" is uttered to the troops to line themselves properly up for formation. I had to sneak up on them working available cover to close the distance. Right after I snapped this photo they flew off, frightened by my image. LOL!
