- I live in the western region of the Edwards Plateau, deep in the Texas Hill Country. I'm an avid outdoorsman spending a large portion of my time "out there" roaming the wide open spaces. Much of my photography is simply an extension of a very active outdoor lifestyle. The challenges posed with closing the distance, pursuing wildlife photography, is an absolute hoot for me! The experience out there alone is everything to me. If I capture pixels along the way , it's icing on the cake.

Nice photo. I love the Texas Cardinal and fortunately get to see one a few times of week where I currently live. They are very shy and hide in the bush when they see you but have a very pretty song. You can talk to them or gently whistle and they will stick around for a few minutes and listen until you may get too close, then they fly away and disappear.
